BNI Platinum: A journey of perseverance, growth, and success.
As the newest chapter in the Adelaide CBD & South region, BNI Platinum’s journey is an inspiring tale of perseverance, dedication, and growth. The team’s unwavering commitment to their vision of creating a thriving BNI chapter in Adelaide is a testament to what can be achieved when a group of like-minded people set their minds to a goal and work towards it tirelessly.
A focus on growth.
Despite facing numerous challenges along the way, the team never lost sight of their mission. They embraced setbacks and losses as opportunities for growth and improvement, and their resilience paid off in the form of steady momentum and expansion.
Leadership played a pivotal role in the success of BNI Platinum. President Harry Green, Vice President Kiran Hanjrah and Secretary/Treasurer Joe Maurici, supported by Chapter Director Bec Purzcel and Community Ambassador Will Gray, are the driving forces behind the chapter. Each has led by example, demonstrating the power of the “Givers Gain” philosophy and sharing their passion for helping members to grow and succeed.
Finding the right location took a bit of effort, but BNI Platinum’s leadership team and members showed adaptability and resilience. The initial plan to establish the chapter in Athelstone encountered obstacles, but eventually, the team found a welcoming home at the Walker’s Arms Hotel in Walkerville. Bec emphasised the importance of securing a venue that supports the chapter’s growth and needs.
An opportunity for personal and professional skills development.
One of the most remarkable aspects of the BNI Platinum journey is the personal and professional growth experienced by its members. The team’s commitment to weekly events and the BNI format helped members develop public speaking skills and networking abilities, leading to notable improvements in their personal and professional lives.
During the startup process, the commitment of those who joined the chapter drove it forward. Overcoming teething issues, especially among newer members adjusting to the BNI format, was an ongoing challenge. However, all members’ overwhelming commitment and ownership paints a positive picture for the future.
Platinum by name and intention.
As their name suggests, the BNI Platinum team has set ambitious goals to achieve ‘Platinum Status’ (50+ members for a period of 6 months or longer), and the first step is to expand their membership to 30 within the next 6 months. With their strong foundation and unwavering dedication, there is no doubt that they will achieve these goals and continue to contribute to the growth and success of their members and the broader BNI community.
BNI Platinum’s 18-month odyssey from start-up to a chartered BNI chapter reminds us that anything is possible when we believe in ourselves and work towards our goals with passion, dedication, and resilience. It’s a story that inspires us to push beyond our limits, embrace challenges, and strive for excellence in everything we do.
