1. Tell us about Tradication
Tradication is a cost-effective, affordable business education resource for all tradies no matter where they are on their journey.
Why you started
I started Tradication as I want to be able to support as many tradies as possible to be the best business leaders they can be. Although I love working with tradies 1-on-1 I can only help a small number of the tradie community this way.
How you support your clients
Tradication is for trades business owners and those tradies thinking about starting their own business. We provide them with the business education they need to be the best business owners possible, and provide a strong foundation to build their businesses so they can create profitable, sustainable and scalable businesses.
This results in confidence, peace of mind, financial independence, freedom to do what they want, when they want and freedom to spend time with family and friends
What makes Tradication unique?
My values are Trust, Integrity and Solidarity, everything I do is based around living these values, my business is built on these values and I am always working hard to live up to them. I believe this is what makes me stand out to my audience and why my clients love working with me and refer their friends to me.
How do you hope to evolve over the coming years?
I want to become the leading authority in supporting tradies to be the best that they can be, through Tradication.
2. When and why did you join BNI?
August 2018 I joined BNI. When I started my Coaching education with The Coaching Institute in Melbourne they recommended that all their coaches join BNI as it’s a great way to build your business. Initially, I was doing executive coaching but through BNI I saw a need for a coach to work with trades. Tradies were joining BNI getting really busy and then leaving because they didn’t have a growth strategy as to how they would handle the increase in their workload.
3. What’s your favourite thing about being an Advantage Avenger?
I joined Advantage because by nature I am very competitive and all the avengers are very professional and go-getters. I love that everyone is in the group to be successful and to help everyone else be successful (Givers Gain). As an Avenger, there are a lot of very savvy, highly motivated, extremely intelligent and successful business entrepreneurs. I like being in a room where I’m not the smartest person, I’m a lifelong learner, and can always learn something from everyone I meet.
4. Who is your spirit Avenger and why?
Hawkeye – stays behind the scenes, doesn’t have a super power but a true expert in his craft and will always have your back
5. Best piece of advice you ever received?
Part 1 – Be yourself, everyone else is taken
Part 2 – Never be the smartest person in the room
6. In September you completed an amazing number of 121s, leading to an incredible amount of referrals and Thank You For Closed Business. What is your top tip for a 121 that generates these types of results?
I try wherever possible to bulk block back-to-back-to-back 1-2-1s. I find by doing them in this way I get into a rhythm and am more productive with my time. The weekly 30-second referral requests are always an important part of the meeting for me and later in the day I go back through and review what people are requesting and think about how I can help achieve them.
7. Who is Paul outside of The Business Prophet?

Any event where I can spend more time with my people
10. What are your top three goals for the next three years?
- Build Tradication to over 1000 members
- Publish two more books – Tradie Startup® and 7 Figure Tradie®
- Spend 4 months a year travelling
